I don't think Ulysses' repository is ...Interesting. I don't think Ulysses' repository is a caricature. I myself can only do marginally better than he can, because I have server access and can do batch uploads and design work. Recall, however, that when I interviewed for my job, I was told outright I would <I>not</I> have that access!<BR/><BR/>And I know a lot of repository managers who don't. Consider all my campus IR contacts. They're the face of the repository on their campus, and THEY don't have server access!<BR/><BR/>You're a programmer, Les. I'm not, and most librarians aren't. And at least on this side of the pond, repos are set up without appropriate customization/programming support. (Or IT-outsourced.)<BR/><BR/>I wish Ulysses was a caricature. I truly do, because he <I>ought</I> to be. But I contend that he's not.
